Install addons

Install on Windows

1. Close the game.
2. Download the addon's zip from its page in the library.
3. Find your game folder: in the Battle.net app pick WoW: Forever, open the gear menu next to Play and choose Show in Explorer.
4. Open Interface\AddOns inside the game folder. Create the Interface and AddOns folders if they do not exist.
5. Unpack the zip there. The addon's .toc file must end up one level down, for example Interface\AddOns\Profup\Profup.toc, not in a nested folder of the same name.
6. Start the game. On the character screen click AddOns and check that the addon is enabled.

Install folder: [WoW folder]\Interface\AddOns

Update

Close the game, delete the addon's old folder and unpack the new zip in its place. Your settings are kept: they live in the WTF folder, not in the addon folder.

Remove

Delete the addon's folder from Interface\AddOns. To remove its saved settings too, delete its .lua files under WTF\Account\<account>\SavedVariables.

If the addon does not show up

• The folder is nested: the path must be AddOns\<Addon>\<Addon>.toc.
• The addon is marked out of date after a game patch: wait for an update, or enable Load out of date AddOns on the AddOns screen.
• The game was running while you copied the files: restart it.
